The new GIENC® Hours curriculum integrates the goals and objectives from the North Carolina Occupational Course of Study (OCS) Program recommended by the State Board of Education.

The time spent by students with disabilities may count toward satisfying the requirements for a diploma. Some of the activities include learning job-seeking skills, learning how to maintain a job and developing the social skills necessary to the workplace.

A new program, introduced in the summer of 2006, is the GCF® Nature Program. This program provides horticulture activities to people with disabilities. The focus of the program is working with nature in many of its elements including flower gardening, vegetable garding, nature trails and greenhouse work. View a slide show about the Nature Program.
